We built Medication Simplifier to be private by design. Your prescription details stay in your browser — we have no servers storing your medical information.
When you use our medication tools, your text or photo goes directly from your browser to Anthropic's AI service and back. We never see it, store it, or log it. The only data that stays anywhere is what you choose to save in your own browser.
Prescription text, drug names, photos, and any other input you submit are sent directly to Anthropic's API to generate a response. This data is not stored on our servers — because we don't have any. It passes through Cloudflare's network in transit. Anthropic's own privacy policy governs how they handle API inputs; see anthropic.com/privacy.
If you are a paid subscriber, the following items are saved only in your browser using localStorage — they are never sent to us:
msim_paid — whether you have an active paid subscriptionmsim_license_key — your Lemon Squeezy license keymsim_history — your last 10 medication lookup resultsClearing your browser data will delete these. They are not backed up anywhere by us.
If you choose to create an account or sign in with Google, your email address is stored by Supabase (our authentication provider). We use this only to let you sign in — we do not send marketing emails or share it with third parties. See supabase.com/privacy.
All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your credit card details. Lemon Squeezy issues you a license key after purchase. See lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
To prevent abuse of the free tier, your IP address is used to count requests per day using Cloudflare KV. This count resets every 24 hours and is not linked to any personal profile.
We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics software. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar third-party tracking tools. The only browser storage we use is localStorage (described above), which is not a cookie and cannot be read by third parties.

Because we hold almost no personal data about you, there is very little to request or delete. If you created an account, you can ask us to delete it by emailing [email protected] and we will remove it from Supabase within 30 days. Your localStorage data can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Medication Simplifier is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
